Intensive Care
Like all of our departments, our Intensive Care Department at Florida Hospital DeLand aims to provide high-quality care. We are proud to provide primary nursing to our patients. With primary nursing, a nurse is assigned to a patient and tends to that patient throughout their entire shift. This allows our staff to access the patient, monitor his/her illness and address the patient's specific needs.
Our Intensive Care Unit includes 24 private rooms to accomodate the needs of our patients and their families during these delicate moments. We are equipped with two negative pressure rooms for isolation purposes. These rooms are devoted to patients with serious respiratory illnesses.
Our large and spacious waiting room includes consultation rooms for family members to meet with physicians privately.
