Diabetes Education
The Florida Hospital DeLand Diabetes Education Program believes people can live life to its fullest with diabetes. Our team of nurses, certified diabetes educators and dieticians will work with your physician to help you achieve control over your diabetes.
Our program is designed to help people feel empowered to manage their disease and be able to create their own solutions to the every day problems people with diabetes face. Through group or individual sessions with a nurse and dietitian, you will learn the skills to maintain your best health, avoid the complications and set/achieve personal health goals. Your physician will receive a summary of your visits, including your new skills, knowledge and goals, in order to integrate this into your continuing health care plan.
