Practice Standards
The College of American Pathologists serves as our standard for practice. We are subscribed to the College of American Pathologists Laboratory Accreditation Program and to the Surveys and Educational Anatomic Pathology Program which includes proficiency testing on all regulated analytes.  We are accountable for the safety of our patients and are committed to meeting our patients’ needs by providing accurate and precise results in a timely and cost effective manner. Two identifiers are used at all times during the testing procedures. Read back orders and fax back orders are an integral element of our process. Documentation in patient history is important in our transfusion service.
