Florida Hospital DeLand Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation is a comprehensive rehabilitative services program that evaluates and treats many types of injuries and other disorders.
Most muscle, tendon, ligament, or joint injuries can be treated without surgical intervention. After careful and accurate diagnosis, a program of proven rehabilitation techniques will be implemented to help you get back in the game as quickly, safely and painlessly as possible.
Depending on your condition or injury, many interventions may be included in your individualized treatment plan. Therapeutic exercise, manual therapy such as massage and mobilization, home exercises, and education in proper stretching and strengthening are important for your return-to-sport/activity and are crucial to your recovery. Whether your goal is to return to sport, work, or life in general, education in preventing re-injury is important to keep you in the game. Modalities may also be used in your rehabilitation, and may include methods such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, or traction. Our ultimate goal is to restore normal function and teach you how to prevent future injuries.
Our physicians and therapists work together to bring you the very best in available medical expertise, assuring a rapid recovery from your surgery or injury through our team approach! We strive to provide the highest quality of diagnosis, care, and rehabilitation of our patients.
