Florida Hospital DeLand Celebrates Healthcare Pioneers of the Community

WHAT:         Florida Hospital DeLand will host an inaugral Healthcare Pioneers Recognition Dinner to honor the three community hospital pioneers.  This premier event will include dinner, draw prizes and a short program honoring Florida Hospital DeLand's three healthcare pioneers and highlighting the hospital's history and service to the community.  Proceeds from the event will benefit vital programs at Florida Hospital DeLand.

WHEN:        Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 6pm to 9pm

WHERE:       DeLand  Country Club - 2289 Country Club Drive

VISUALS:     Visual elements will include photos of the honorees and the original facility in 1962.

BCKGRND:   Florida Hospital DeLand has been serving the community since its doors first opened in 1962.  Dr. John Collette, Dr. William Carter and Dr. Landon Smith were part of the original medical staff that cared for area residents.
