Florida Hospital DeLand announces Randy Surber as the new Chief Operation Officer (COO). 
Surber comes to Florida Hospital DeLand with 12 years of executive experience in the Adventist Health System (AHS) and over 20 years in health care.
“We were looking for someone who demonstrated commitment to the organization, our mission and our strong customer-service principles,” said Florida Hospital DeLand President and CEO Daryl Tol. “Randy will be an excellent addition to the hospital’s executive team.”
As COO, Surber is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the hospital. He will coordinate the operations of several departments and is accountable with ensuring compliance with the mission of Florida Hospital DeLand, as well as the regulatory guidelines in order to carry out the strategic objectives of the organization.
Surber is a graduate of Southern University and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Bristol University and a Masters of Education from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Surber began his COO duties in September.
