Florida Hospital DeLand is pleased to announce Robert D. Ropp as the new
Director of Cardiopulmonary.
Ropp comes to DeLand from Rome, Georgia, where he was the Director of Cardiopulmonary at Floyd Medical Center for twelve
years. He brings with him achievements in health care operations, care and clinical services, and facility management, along with practice in therapy, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, sleep disorders, Interventional Radiology, non-invasive vascular neurodiagnostic and neonatal transport medical services.
“We know intuitively and research shows that an important factor in healing is providing an environment and services that support patients and their families,” Ropp said. “When I interviewed with the team, I found they had planned carefully along these lines.”
As Cardiopulmonary Director at Florida Hospital DeLand, Ropp will be responsible for the overall operations of Respiratory Therapy, Invasive & Non-Invasive Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiopulmonary, Neurodiagnostics and Sleep Disorders Center.
“My hope is that my patients will feel comfortable when they walk into the hospital and be confident that they are in the hands of the best clinicians available,” said Ropp.
Ropp is a graduate of Covenant College where he received his bachelor of science in organizational management and leadership. He is also a registered respiratory therapist and certified respiratory therapy technician.
