According to the American Heart Association, only 13 percent of women view heart disease as a health threat, even though it’s women’s number one killer.
Cardiovascular disease kills more than 480,000 women a year, about one per minute while coronary heart disease is the number one single killer of women over age 25.
Florida Hospital DeLand, located at 701 West Plymouth Avenue in DeLand, was established in 1962 and is a 156-bed acute-care hospital.
