DELAND, FLORIDA, March 06, 2007—Florida Hospital DeLand announces the addition of Richard Garbacik, Jr. as Controller. A graduate of Quinnipiac University, Connecticut, Garbacik has over 15 years management accountant experience. He began his duties as Controller in January.
Before joining FLORIDA HOSPITAL DeLand, Rick served as Assistant Controller for Ardmore Farms, Inc., the nation’s largest manufacturer/distributor of portion juice products to food service and retail customers. At Ardmore, he helped develop budgetary and key financial reports that allowed for better understanding of process and productivity issues that impacted contribution margins. His work there was invaluable in developing flexible budgets and rolling forecasts. Prior to Ardmore, Rick was an Accountant & Analyst for Invacare Corporation in Sanford, Florida.
"I have been an AP Clerk, a Payroll Processor, GL Accountant, Analyst, Bookkeeper, Programmer, IS Liaison and Assistant Controller. I understand the push and pull of the workforce as well as the level of customer service that we must provide” said Garbacik. “Accounting and Finance are more than just the numbers on paper or charts on a wall.” Rick’s experience and knowledge will help him oversee and create a bridge between the Finance and Accounting departments and provide information that will help Florida Hospital DeLand better serve its patients and community.
