DELAND, FLORIDA, February 15, 2008 – On Monday, February 18, Florida Hospital DeLand will begin providing free hospital valet services to patients and visitors. Valet services will be available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Florida Hospital DeLand Wellness Center entrance on Stone Street. The valet service will be provided by ParkMed, Inc. which is a hospital parking management and hospitality company.

“By offering free hospital valet services, we are improving our patients and visitors access to healthcare and making sure they have one less thing on their minds. They won’t have to worry about where to park their car,” said Florida Hospital DeLand Director of Facilities Bill Orem.
Valet services are often the first contact patients and visitors have with the hospital and that’s why Florida Hospital DeLand chose ParkMed. In addition to parking cars valet attendants will assist patients and visitors with getting into and out of their cars, wheelchair access and direction assistance. 

 “Hospitals, and our hospital in particular, have long struggled with providing adequate parking for patients and visitors. We have been especially challenged with enough parking for our outpatient services such as imaging and lab tests,” said President and CEO Daryl Tol. “This new service is just another way we are striving to better serve our neighbors and should be a welcome relief for our patients and visitors,” he added.
