Florida Hospital DeLand believes your health information is personal and confidential. The hospital is committed to keeping your health information private, and is legally required to respect your confidentiality.

HIPAA is the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, a Federal law that requires health providers to take certain steps to protect the privacy and security of patient health information.

HIPAA went into effect on April 14, 2003 and requires a health care provider to post the Notice of Patient Privacy Practices (NPPP).
