American Cancer Society Look Good Feel Better
Location: Florida Hospital DeLand Classroom 1A
This class teaches female cancer patients beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Registration is required and must be made no later than 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday prior to each Monday session. To register please contact the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345. Classes will begin at 6:00 p.m. and are held on the third Monday of every two months.

Brain Injury Support Group
The Brain Injury Support Group is open to individuals, families, and friends of people who have suffered an injury to the brain. The group meets at Florida Hospital DeLand the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in classroom 1A. Celiac Disease Support Group
The Celiac Disease Support Group is for individuals and families that suffer from this genetic digestive disease that damages the small intestine and interferes with absorption of nutrients from food. Individuals who have celiac disease cannot tolerate a protein called gluten, found in wheat, rye, and barley. When they eat foods or use products containing gluten, their immune system responds by damaging the small intestine. Celiac disease is triggered—or becomes active for the first time—after surgery, pregnancy, childbirth, viral infection, or severe emotional stress.
This group currently meets on the 1st Wednesday of every other month in Florida Hospital DeLand Classroom 1A from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Diabetes Education & Support Group

Nurses Christian Fellowship
This group is open to all nurses and student nurses in the area. The purpose of the group is to bring a focus of Christ into our nursing practice, bible study, and fellowship. Overeaters Anonymous
The Overeaters Anonymous chapter at Florida Hospital DeLand is open to people struggling with the challenges of overeating. Overeaters Anonymous offers mutual support from people facing similar situations. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop eating compulsively. There are no dues, fees, or weigh-ins. The group meets on Mondays from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Florida Hospital DeLand. Sleep Disorders Center - Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) Support Group
The CPAP Support Group is open to individuals who suffer from a sleep disorder or know someone that does. It is an opportunity for individuals to share their stories and ask questions. This group will meet the fourth Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at Florida Hospital DeLand in Classrooms A, B & C.
